*Posiiton : Data Center Engineer * *Term : 6 months +* *Location : LA, CA * currently looking for a Data Center Engineer with experience specifically *around NetApp Flexpod and related technologies*. *RESPONSIBILITIES: * • Provide in depth working knowledge of data center solutions specifically FlexPod technologies. • Be able to operate infrastructure accounting for key data center technologies including networking, compute, backup/DR, and virtualization. • Provide knowledge transfer workshops around FlexPod technologies. • Provide strong working knowledge of virtualization. • Contribute and refine the team’s process, including documentation of how the environment is operated. • Provide strong working knowledge of Cisco Switches, specifically Nexus. • Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for FlexPod technologies, including troubleshooting and problem resolution. • Assist Build Teams with implementations as necessary. *QUALIFICATIONS: * • Minimum of 3 years Datacenter Experience • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • Must have experience supporting NetApp FlexPod technologies. Experience with CAIC and vCloud Director highly preferred. Design and Implement experienced preferred. • Advanced Technical Certifications including knowledge of virtualization, networking, storage, and compute platforms. • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems in a virtualized environment. • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems in a virtualized environment. • Extensive hands on experience with IP-based and Fiber networking for SAN/NAS. • Generic knowledge of system management best practices, scheduling/recovering from SAN array snapshots, complete backup and restoration experience. • Experience or exposure to NetApp Secure Multi Tenancy solutions. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to produce outstanding results • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) • In depth understanding of datacenter technologies including networking, storage, compute, and of course virtualization. • Must have a generic knowledge of system management best practices, monitoring, change control, etc; as it relates to the datacenter as well as end users.. • Experience with documentation of design, system builds, configurations, and support procedures absolutely essential.
