Title: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR posted on 2013-09-20 13:00:12 Job Description:*Description of Duties:** 1. Installs and maintains Storage Area Network (SAN) hardware and software. 1. Install and maintains backup and image software for entire network. Supports disaster recovery software and processes. 1. Provides network security administration functions including hardware access, software access, login ID’s, passwords, user privileges and related tasks. 1. Installs and maintains core infrastructure including Virtualization Products, SCSI, POE, Desktop and Backbone Switches. 1. Provides support to each IFB CIFI remote location. 1. Provide network “help-desk” support during normal business hours, log incoming calls, and maintain an on-going problem tracking and reporting system. Follow through on problems to resolution; document pertinent activities related to resolution. 2. Provide support to management on system utilization, product usage, help desk calls, and suggestions for hardware/software improvement and/or training. 3. Participate in testing/recommending new technologies for network and business applications. Procure and request payment for new acquisitions. 4. Coordinate and control implementation of new user desktop and network systems 5. Researches and maintains software updates for network, utility and application problems. 1. Supports VOIP telecommunication services to both Bureaus Supports Collocation operations including software and hardware installation Job Requirements: *Educational and/or Experience Requirements:* Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent training required. A minimum of five years applicable experience required. This employee must have significant knowledge of personal computing and network issues such as topology, communications protocols, operating systems, software applications and hardware. Verbal and written communication skills are essential. *Physical Requirements:* This position requires physical effort in support of job responsibilities; at a minimum the employee must be capable of individually moving all equipment associated with a desktop installation (PC, monitor, printer et al). *Reporting Relationships:* This position reports to: Network Manager ***All duties are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
