Achievement of a high level of proficiency in all aspects of software
testing and regression testing using manual testing methodologies. Also, a
continued commitment to learning and using WGS products, which will allow
more effective testing of the products.
The position requires the use of manual testing methodologies. HP testing
tools (Quality Center) will be used to create manual test scripts for both
internal releases and client-specific tests. Various database platforms
(Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and operating systems (Windows Server and
desktop versions, Unix, etc.) will be used in the testing of WGS products.
Additionally, configuration of various testing environments will be a
responsibility of this role. Analysis of test results and
recommendations/solutions to further the quality of the product will be
required. Writing test scripts/cases and test plans will be a major part
of this position, along with testing and tracking issues to their closure.
Skill Set and Proficiency:
Must have some combination of these technology skills and/or mortgage
industry experience.
Required:
Mid-level software testing background in a client/server environment using
web based applications
High-level analytical skills
Relevant mortgage industry experience can be substituted for the above
(knowledge of FHA/VA/conventional loan types, front office/back office
experience involving origination, processing, underwriting, closing/funding
and post-closing activities)
Preferred:
Low-level knowledge of testing tools (HP, Rational, VSTS, etc.)
Low to Mid-level knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
Low-level knowledge of VBScript, SOAP/XML
Helpful:
Low-level programming knowledge (C++, C#, VB, HTML, ASP, Web technologies)
Low-level experience using Unix OS
Experience/Education:
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, MIS, or related degree)
2+ years QA testing experience
Mortgage knowledge/experience a big plus
