*Job Description:*
SQL DBA with XML & SSIS (for Schema changes)
*This position requires experience in both database and application
development*. Client is looking for someone who has a strong understanding
of SQL Server, plus experience developing in SSIS and XML. The work will
initially focus on developing and updating schemas then will evolve into
other project work related to SQL database and development, such as
maintaining databases or writing scripts. The candidate will have
experience working in a fast-paced environment, with aggressive timelines.
Responsibilities:
•Experience and knowledge in supporting application system development life
cycle.
•Perform performance tuning.
•Monitor database performance and space requirements.
•Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
•Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
•Ability to work in a team environment
•Analyze the current transactional database designs to determine needed
improvements
•Document and standardize data structures, procedures and processes
•Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt
quickly to changes
•Strong quantitative, analytics, problem solving, organizational,
communication and interpersonal skills are required
•Attention to detail and maintaining high quality standards is a must
•Ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate
initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Mentor and coach peers
•Provide knowledge transfer to peers
