*Cognos Developer* *1+ years* *Columbus, OH* *Interview type: Inperson* * * *Job Description:* The candidate will possess COGNOS 8 experience. Experience with developing in COGNOS 10 is a plus. The candidate will be working with COGNOS framework manager, versions 8/10 and also working with Report Studio COGNOS version 8 and COGNOS transformer. The candidate will work as part of a team interacting with DODD business to support and enhance DODD's COGNOS BI solution using the toolsets described above. The person in this position will be responsible for creating and/or maintaining Cognos 10 Framework Manager packages. This person will be designing these packages on top of a dimensional database data model with the main goal being that the Cognos front end only needs to read from the database. There should be very little data manipulation being performed within Cognos itself. This person will need to be able to know when a data structure needs to be altered on the database in order to prevent it from being done within Cognos. The sole purpose of Cognos is to provide an ad-hoc reporting environment to the main business SME. I need someone that will understand that I am not creating an environment where IT will be responsible for creating reports.
