*Sr. Java resource* *LOCATION: *Lincoln, AL *Contract:* 12+ Months These positions will be assigned to the Manufacturing Systems team to support software development for service requests and projects concerning the Global Automated Line Control (GALC) system. Participation in all phases of the systems development life cycle is expected, with emphasis on software design, development/programming, documentation, and deployment. These are one (1) year contract positions for performance evaluation. With a favorable performance evaluation, a full-time employment offer may be extended after the evaluation period to the best of the two candidates. The work location for these positions is Lincoln, AL. A typical workday starts at 7:30AM and ends at 4:00PM. Overtime and adjusted work schedules may become necessary for some project assignments. Candidates selected for hire must pass a drug screening during Honda orientation. Responsibilities - Design and develop J2EE enterprise applications - Maintain software design documentation - Elicit, document, and develop requirements for service requests consisting of less than 40 hours effort - Mentor and provide technical assistance to less experienced developers - Participate in software design and peer reviews - Participate in Change Management Activities Qualifications - BS in Computer Science or related field - Minimum of 8 years software development experience - Minimum of 6 years experience in Java development - Experience developing and deploying enterprise applications using J2EE - Experience with J2EE Frameworks such as Struts and Hibernate - Experience with Spring Framework is a plus Experience implementing applications using DB2 and JDBC *“Recruiting is made easier with JobPencil.com” * JobPencil.com – is the leading technology job portal which connects the Employers looking to hire highly talented professionals and the candidates looking for right opportunities and employers.
