Title: SQL Database Developer Location: NW Chicago-land area (or) alternatively Hunt Valley,Maryland Type of position: 3 Month Contract to hire Candidate MUST roll perm after 3 months *Must be a US Citizen, Green Card, or EAD Responsibilities: Design, architect, and build databases from determining businessrequirements to planning and deploying test and production systems. Perform operational DBA duties. These will include:installation, database upgrades, patching, environment cloning, implementingbackup/recovery and monitoring procedures, capacity planning, sitefailover/switchover. Interface with client, network, hardware and system operationsteams to resolve problems with application/database systems. Design, implement, and maintain integration with Aontechnologies. Qualifications: Knowledge of one of the following: Batch shell scripting, Hands-on experience administering commercial large-enterprisedatabases such as SQL Server. Experience administering large-enterprise MS SQL databaseenvironments. Strong understanding of relational database architectureconcepts. Proficiency working with Windows platforms with concreteknowledge of system administration/internals.
