Title: Business Security Analyst posted on 2014-04-14 16:47:49 Job Description:*No. of opening:* 1 *Location*: Boston, MA (LOCALS PREFERRED) *Start Date*: ASAP *Duration*: 2+ months extendable *End Client:* Seagate *Rate:* $50/hr on C2C/1099 *Interview Type:* Telephonic/*In-person Interview* *Job Title: Security Business Analyst* *Position Summary and Skills:* · The IT Security Analyst will assess, analyze, and document security risks, develop controls, research best practices, and draft policies for the various application and technologies areas supported by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EHS) throughout the Department of Public Health (DPH). · The position is expected to effectively communicate and work cooperatively with the Secretariat Security Office. · The IT Security Analyst will report to the DPH Technology Security Officer and manage DPH IT Security projects, validate adherence to security policies, and mitigate risk. · The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for reviewing applications, vendor solutions, provide security guidance, and conduct security awareness & education. · The IT Security Analyst will be trained in EHS Processes and ITD Standards and become the DPH subject expert for ITD Enterprise Security Policies assuring policies and security best practice is understood and adhered to across the Department of Public Health. *Qualifications Required:* · Demonstrated ability to work well on collaborative, cross-functional teams. Solid interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with people of all levels of information technology with a wide range of constituencies and organizational relationships requiring strong written and verbal communications skills. · Demonstrated Project Management and\or Business\System Analysis experience including tools, techniques, and methodologies. · Knowledge and experience *planning*, *deploying*, *operating*, and *maintaining* *information* *security* *programs* in *Health Care* or *Government environment* · Knowledge and experience *planning*, *evaluating*, *designing*, *testing*, and *supporting* *hardware* and *software* *based* *security*. · Technical understanding of *network architectures*, *application architectures*, and their interoperability. · Technical understanding of computer and network forensics, network security, information systems, incident handling, intrusion detection, *vulnerability* & *patch management*, *log analysis*, and other related technologies. · Experience with technology product solution *research*, *design*, and *evaluation*. · *Familiarity* with Government and Health Care related laws such as; *HIPAA HITECH*, *Chapter 66A*, *93H*, *93I*, *FISMA*, *PCI-DSS*, *CDC*, *NIST*, *SSAE* *16*, *Executive* *Order* *504* · *Working* *knowledge* of the *NIST 800 series publications* · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Management or equivalent work experience. · *CISSP*, *GIAC*, *CISA*, *CISM* or similar industry certification *would be a plus*. · Some *local travel is required*.
