Title: Quality Analyst posted on 2014-08-28 15:48:35 Job Description:*Position: QA* *Location: :* *Strongsville, OH* *Duration: 6+Months* *Job Description:* *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * • Functions a Test Lead for small to medium complexity efforts. • Participates in design reviews, requirements, systems analysis and test review discussions. • Develops Test Strategy for small to medium complexity testing efforts by investigating the context of a testing effort. • Defines the Test Plan by identifying the scope and type of work necessary for small to medium testing efforts. Establishes readiness, specifies skill needs, negotiates risk, provides estimates and plans work for testing efforts. • Guides the testing effort according to, and tracking it against, the Test Strategy and Test Plan. Communicates progress and adjusts the Test Strategy and Plan based upon information learned during the project. • Tests systems or system components utilizing black box testing methods. Creates test cases to demonstrate clarity and testability of requirements. • Validates the function of system under test and observes results from various external and internal interfaces (functional testing). • Captures test activity information during execution. Communicates regularly with project members and advocates for resolution of high priority problems. • Discovers and reports defects. Interprets trends and creates recommendations by using data, experience, and logical methods to increase efficiency and identify risks to systems. • Performs in-depth analysis by weighing relevance and accuracy of information to provide alternative solutions while appropriately incorporating input from others. • Creates effective ways to display data using various modeling, reporting, statistical analysis perspectives and trending methods. • May provide training or mentoring to others on a variety of testing topics. *Working Experience Requirements: * • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, analyzing and executing testing of multiple applications with significant size and scope. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels. • Strong technical aptitude and proven analytical skills required.
