Attending weekly status meetings with the Agency Project Manager and NC Forest Service staff. Provide a weekly written status report. Adhere to a project schedule and milestones. Provide detailed system documentation. Provide a plan for knowledge transfer and turnover of the application to NCDA&CS Information Technology Services Division personnel. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: Minimum of five years experience in a Visual Basic.NET software development environment. Ability to work independently to achieve outcomes in an expedient and professional manner. Ability to translate non-technical user requirements into a technical format. Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical staff and non-technical business users. Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to develop positive business customer relationships. Planning and organizing skills. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field. Knowledge of fire accomplishment reporting systems. Knowledge in implementation of similar solutions with State or Federal Government entities. Microsoft certified in software development.
