The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible for the design,
pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review
processes.
DAS is seeking a Testing /Quality Assurance Analyst with Health and Human
Services background
Testing / Quality Assurance Analyst
*Responsibilities:*
- Analyze test scripts & functional design documents to
identify gaps and/or issues
- Review regression test suites to ensure sufficient
coverage
- Review test plans for system and integration testing
- Support/assist in system & UAT testing, coordinating with
internal and external IT/Business partners
- Support Change Controls during Implementation
*Skills:*
- experience testing web-based, and client-server software
- Strong hands on experience with RRC(Rational Requirements
Composure), RTC (Rational Team Concert) & RQM (Rational Quality Manager) is
highly desired
- HHS (Health and Human Services) – Medicaid, SNAP, TANF
experience highly desired
- Experience with creating/executing automated test scripts
- Strong knowledge of test methodology, tools, standards
and procedures
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing levels/types/ phases
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle
The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) is responsible for the design,
pilot, and implementation of the software quality assurance review
processes. The QAS Specialist will work with Application Teams during pre
and post assessment periods. The QAS Specialist reports to the Quality
Assurance Team Lead. For each phase end review the Quality Assurance
Specialist is responsible to plan, schedule, execute, and document findings
of the review. Quality Assurance Specialists must have a detailed
understanding of processes which support the software development
lifecycle. The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for communicating with
the State regarding the progress of the quality approach and a summary of
the metrics, as well as managing the Quality Assurance Specialists.

*Years of Relevant Experience:*
10 plus years software development, testing and project management
Preferred Education:
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
