- Capable of helping assigned areas clarify their current and future
technology needs. Helps user define requirements and how to best address
them
- Recreate reported scenarios, provide appropriate details to
development team for correcting issues, retest fixes
Project Role
- Develops appropriate piece of project plans to effectively meet
business requirements.
- Provide high level time estimates for assigned work efforts
- Documents Business Requirements and Use Cases
- Perform System Testing
- Provide Customer Support/Training during User Acceptance Testing Phase
*Communications Skills*
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good written skills
- Can clearly articulate an idea
- Able to probe beyond a customer’s expressed needs, to identify
potential future requirements
1. Customer Role
- Viewed by the customer as their requirements specialist, and by IT as
knowledgeable in the work processes of the assigned customer’s area
*Knowledge: *
Business Knowledge
- Possesses and/or develops an in-depth understanding of the work
processes of a customer area
- Can translate user needs into functional requirements
- Can document logical data and process modeling and translate user
needs into business and functional requirements along with use cases
- Knowledge of securities products*, especially variable annuities,
FINRA Series 6 license and/or relevant LOMA coursework a plus*.
1. Technical Expertise
- Possess a broad understanding of current IT technical architecture
(i.e., what is and is not possible)
- Understands one or more technologies with the ability to manipulate an
application (i.e., create a form and move it onto a database)
- Knowledge of *Transcend* functionality, capabilities, and modules a
plus.
- Understands and demonstrates the ability to perform calculations
related to financial mathematics including contingent deferred sales
charges.
- *Should have experience with creating SQL queries*.
Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science
Experience: Typical candidates in this role will possess 3+ years of
relevant experience
