Our client is seeking a Transformation Architect who will be responsible
for working with Enterprise Architects to transform the IT System and Data
architectures supporting the DMV.
This architect will prioritize architecture options, against clear
decision-making criteria, within a comprehensive understanding of the
enterprise mission and objectives. This architect will perform functions
similar to that of an Enterprise Architect; to include defining the
reference “future state" business, data, and technical architectures and
applicable road maps.
This individual will apply the latest strategies in architecture such as
SOA, semantic and knowledge-based technologies, BPMN, BPEL, value chains,
and strategy maps. This architect will translate the end-state business,
data, and technology models into architectural blueprints; including
recommendation of third party components, definition of required custom
components, and determination of the appropriate hardware and software.
This architect will ensure that the architecture is actionable by
implementing the latest thought leadership in business and information
architecture. This position will integrate business and technology,
providing strong knowledge of good business practices, combined with a
sound understanding of architectural and technical issues.
This individual has experience in design, implementation, and deployment of
data management and other enterprise level software applications in large
government organizations. This individual is knowledgeable in all aspects
of system integration, has a working knowledge of network systems and
hardware and has strong knowledge of SOA Governance, and SOA/WS and legacy
interface mechanisms .
This individual is confident in developing requirements and design
specifications for new and existing applications. This individual will
serve as a leader of other contract architects in the integration of data,
solution and application design.
The applicant should demonstrate the following experience within their
professional practice: Ability to articulate service visions, ability to
align information technologies with enterprise strategy, and ability to
share common solutions and best practices. Applicants will be asked to
provide examples of the architectural artifacts they have produced in
similar transformation engagements.
