*Title : Senior z/OS Systems Programmer*
*Location : Atlanta, GA*
*Duration : 6+ months*

*Job Responsibilities*:
- Perform installation, maintenance and upgrades of system software
products using SMP/E.
- Perform installation, maintenance and upgrades of 3rd party system
level software products.
- Assist other members of IT, such as Application Development,
Operations, Network Services and Systems Programmers.
- Assist computer Application Development, Operations, Network Services,
Systems Programmers and vendor customer engineers in the resolution of
system hardware and/or software problems.
- Monitor performance of the system hardware and software. Isolate,
correct and improve operational efficiency through changes to the software
packages or reconfiguration of hardware.
- Perform appropriate Change Management duties to comply with IT
policies and procedures.
- Perform appropriate Project Management duties to comply with IT
policies and procedures.
- Perform appropriate Problem Management duties to comply with IT
policies and procedures.
- Review security at system level and provide recommendations for
improvements.
- Report progress on a weekly basis of status on all assigned work tasks
in a written report.
- Provide 24X7 on call support and occasional weekend onsite support.
*Minimum Qualifications*:
- *Fifteen (15) years experience* as a z/OS Systems Programmer.
- Ten (10) years experience working with SMPE in MVS and/or z/OS.
- Ten (10) years experience installing and/or upgrading 3rd party
products in MVS and/or z/OS.
- Five (5) years experience with DFSMS in MVS and/or z/OS.
- Five (5) years experience with RACF in MVS and/or z/OS.
- Two (2) years experience with z/OS 1.13 or higher.
- Good communication skills.
- Good people skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and VISIO.
*Preferred Qualifications*:
- Experience with IBM zSeries mainframe.
- Experience with restoring z/OS and system level software at a Disaster
Recovery site.
- Experience with Unix Systems Services (USS) on z/OS.
- Experience with multiple LPARs and shared DASD.
- Experience with programming in assembler language.
- Experience with CLIST and REXX.
- Experience with Project Management methodologies.
- Experience in large data center operations, specifically change
control processes and software migration.
- Strong understanding of IT operational processes and familiarity with
standards and trends in the industry relative to IT processes and security.
- Advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with Local, State or Federal government.
