Description
• Works with project leaders to define the scope, objectives and approach
for *MMIS Hardware Refresh project testing.*
• Develops *test plans for all testing phases.*
• Assists the project manager with planning and scheduling each project
test cycle.
• Develops, reviews, or approves test-related procedures, processes, and
standards.
• Provides training on test related processes, procedures, and standards to
project members.
• Provides oversight and direction for the test process including
coordination with the MMIS vendor.
• Develops and issues test phase reports and supporting documents.
• Reports on testing progress to project stakeholders as directed by the
project manager.
• Attends walkthroughs of test cases and results.
• Monitors and observes test activities to ensure correct performance by
testers.
• Adapts *OIS standard testing practices* to most efficiently satisfy
project testing strategy and requirements.
• Reports test execution coverage and progress, and highlights key quality
concern areas to the *OIS SQA/Testing Manager and MMIS Hardware* Refresh
Project Manager.
• Works in collaboration with business resources to ensure that testing
processes fully validate requirements for the project.
• Create and modifies test cases and scripts to support implementation of
an updated MMIS system.
• Executes test cases and scripts as required to validate requirements are
met for an updated MMIS system.
• Knowledge of Oregon's MMIS is desired, but not required.
Develops, publishes, and implements test plans. Writes and maintains test
automation. Develops quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks
quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Requires a bachelor's degree and at least at least four years or equivalent
experience coding in C, C++, Java. Must have a working knowledge of quality
assurance methodologies. Familiar with NT, UNIX and Solaris environments.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks.
