*Title: Splunk Consultant* *Location: Remote Work Only* *Job Type: Contract* *Duration: Long Term* *Need: H1B Copy and Photo ID Before Submission...* *Job Description:* *Primary Duties as follows:* • Participate in situation management of incidents as needed. • Perform Splunk data investigations as needed. • Document current Splunk architecture, configuration, retention policies and operational procedures • Review and update prior Splunk assessment and document implementation strategy. • Recommend and document implementation strategies for best practice use of Splunk APIs and .NET interfaces. • Assist in completing the deployment of encryption-in-transit across the environment. • Assist in improving operational dashboards and reports. • Assist in improving security dashboards and reports • Assess Splunk Windows auditing against Xerox and CIS standards and document required configuration. • Assess Splunk Linux/Solaris auditing against Xerox and CIS standards and document required configuration. • Assess Splunk database auditing against Xerox and CIS standards and document required configuration. • Catalog Splunk data sources and indexes. • Catalog Splunk dashboards and reports. *Minimum Skills Required:* • Splunk certification desired but not required. • Senior Splunk resource with 8+ overall years of experience • 4+ years of solid experience with Splunk configuration and deployment • Experience with Splunk dashboard development, coding standards Splunk APIs and .NET interfaces. • MS SQL server experience. • Solid knowledge of scripting language such as Bash, PowerShell and Python. • Familiarity with Windows and Linux auditing configurations. • Strong communication, documentation and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MCMS" group.
