*Position: Sr. Java/Oracle Engineer* *Location: Rockville, MD* *Duration: 6 - 12+ Months* *VISA: GC / US Citizens Only* *Rate: $Open/hr on C2C* *No # Positions: 2* Our client is in need of a Java/Oracle developer for a position in Rockville, Maryland. We need a highly motivated and experienced individual with knowledge of both current and emerging technologies to assume a role as developer for Health and Human Services application development initiatives targeting a J2EE/Oracle environment. Develops, codes, deploys and maintains web applications, websites, and client server applications. · Provides application development and technical support for customer websites. · Provides technical expertise in systems development and enhancements of existing systems. · Prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written, and then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs. · Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of enhancements. · Conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action. · Diagnoses and resolves deployment and system problems. · May prepare technical user guides. · Has a strong understanding of good software development practices (understanding of CMMI practices considered a plus) · Communicates with client technical personnel to deploy applications and works seamlessly within a team to provide solutions to customer requirements. · Participates in special projects as required. *Experience Required:* · 5-8 years of related software development experience. · Experience developing applications using Java/Web Technologies (Spring MVC experience considered a plus); · Ability to develop web pages using JSP, EJB, JDBC, XML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML; · Experience designing and implementing solutions using J2EE for web-based applications; · Experience with relational databases, especially Oracle; · Experience developing/maintaining PL/SQL code; · Comfortable with Linux; · Experience designing, coding, testing, configuring, maintaining and documenting developed software; · Strong communication skills. · Experience with C/C++ software development experience is considered a plus; · Experience with MS Access/Visual Basic software development experience is considered a plus; Education Required: · Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience Regards, *Ramesh,* HYR Global Source Inc | AN ERP Consulting Corp Mail to: r...@hyrglobalsource.com Work: *617-274-7876* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MCMS" group.
