I am compiling some research for a client on the operational considerations
related to offering content areas on a web site that require user
logins/passwords to allow for personalized content (My Project Area, home
page etc.) and features that permit site visitors to upload content (text,
graphics, media).  I am interested to hear how this is typically being
handled -- is there a staff person assigned to this, do you contract with
the development firm to maintain this, etc.  Is there a standard protocol?
Can anyone who has a site like this share their experiences with me, pros
and cons, etc?
