Cheryl, Sorry it has taken me this long to respond. Between not being able to post to the list and setting up SPAM filtering, I think I blocked everything! It has been nice and quiet on the email front at least while I could get away with it. But, now I am back! How is that Technology Assessment going? We have been keep a matrix on size of network, apps, computers, equipments, users, etc for a number of years to show the growing trends and it has help support additional staff when needed. We also keep number of service calls and areas of service so we know where to focus user training. Also, taking on new areas of responsibility, for example, last year we took over computer support of the HVAC system. This fits in with the discussions from MCN about technical planning. I have officially started our formal technology plan. I think it is something we have always done, but now we are putting it in writing. This might be an area that would be helpful to others in the field. Anyone out there, have a good format for technical planning? It would be good to compare to see what others are doing. Also may be a topic for MCN this year????
