I'm researching text to donate options for a one night arts festival. Options as I understand them:
1. People can text a number and the phone company will bill them either $5 or $10. The carriers require that an organization be $500K to do this. 2. Text a pledge. Then someone will call you back to take your credit card info over the phone. 2a. This can be set up as a one night event with fees ranging from $1k to $2k or 2b. It can be a monthly fee (year minimum) where they still call back the pledger, but you also have an interface to sending any message you want. 3. Text an amount and type in your credit card info.
