In the spring of 1967 professionals from fifteen museums met to
discuss how they could work together and build a ?museum data bank?
using the latest computer technology. They decided to call this
newly formed group the Museum Computer Network. Not only did MCN?s
founding members build a physical network, but they laid the
foundation for a network of professionals that continues to thrive to
this day.
By becoming a member of MCN you are not only inherit this legacy, but
carry the obligation to ensure that MCN continues to grow for another
forty years. You can make this possible by becoming an MCN member,
participating in the annual conference and the MCN Special Interest

The focus of this November?s conference is Building Content, Building
