HOW TO TEACH ONLINE 


Would you like to:

*       reflect on the issues in designing and developing online teaching?
*       study online learning by learning that way yourself?
*       evaluate the internet with others internationally?

and

*       work with other faculty and a local facilitator who knows your
teaching contexts?



Yes? Then this may be the course for you.

 

The course runs for 10 weeks by online distance study and carries 30 UK
credits. It deals with general issues of teaching online with regular
practical tasks, and has a choice of optional topics on using the internet
to enhance your teaching of themes related to your subject interest..  These
are expected to include

 

*       online discourse and moderating
*       computer-based assessment
*       mobile technologies
*       Real-time teaching with CHAT or video-conferencing and whiteboards
*       blogging and podcasting

Information Technology 2005 is our course reference.  Further specialists
from all  over the world will also be involved.

 

The next start is 29th January 2007.  We suggest you register as soon as
possible.

The fee is ?Stg 499, which can be paid by bank transfer, credit card or
instalments. 

You will be required to attend at least one ?virtual meeting? (online) to
suit your time zone.
