Call for Proposals: ACRL Image Resources Interest Group ALA Annual Conference

The ACRL Image Resources Interest Group (IRIG) is seeking 
proposals for short presentations at the ALA Annual Conference in 
Anaheim on Sunday, June 24th from 4:00-5:30pm. Presentations will be 
brief (15 minutes or so) and highlight current innovative practices, 
tools, or issues. The format will be informal with ample time for 
Q&A discussion. 

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

???? Visual literacy standards implementation
???? Metadata and image discovery
???? Embedded librarians and use of image resources
???? Developing interdisciplinary image collections, e.g., Digital humanities 
projects
???? Developing image collections in an institutional repository
???? Outreach to image users across disciplines
???? Marketing image collections to campus community
???? Creating transformative collections (or exhibits)

To submit a proposal, please email us a brief description of your proposed 
topic by Monday, May 7, 2012.
