I'm happy to have the opportunity to directly congratulate you on this cultural and technological achievement!
While I understand that the partnership with Google offered unique technical advancements that something like Wikipedia obviously could not, I was nonetheless saddened to see that the usual issue of working with Google necessitates closing off the possibility of releasing these amazing images publicly, and for reuse [1]. This isn't meant to be passive aggressive in any way; just pointing out the unfortunate consequences of partnering with Google, though there really is no choice in the matter due to their incredibly useful tools that bring these types of amazing projects about. I was interested in this most particularly because of your recent cooperation with Wikimedia in taking on a Wikipedian-in-Residence [2]. I had the pleasure of presenting with Allison Kupietzky [3] in the same session at Wikimania in Haifa this August. I'm thrilled with the potential for future Wikimedia cooperations at the Israel Museum and wish your museum and Wikipedian in Residence the best of luck! Congrats on all of your recent successes!
