The Indianapolis Museum of Art seeks a Digital Graphic Designer to work as part of a collaborative creative team in order to produce and implement design solutions for online and digital projects. The successful candidate will be an expert in Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks, HTML, and CSS with an awareness of modern web design trends. (S)he will work with museum staff on projects that require either the application of existing museum branding or the production of novel designs. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with web-based content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, etc.) and have experience customizing the look and feel of these systems based on their own designs. Proven experience in JavaScript, PHP, and mobile development is a plus.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design; excellent written/verbal skills; ability to multi-task and work under deadline pressure while maintaining great attention to detail. Also needed is a strong knowledge of online best practices of design.
