SFMOMA is currently working on a project that seeks to integrate unstructured digital content (Word docs, PDF's, emails, images) with the structured information from our collections management (EmbARK) and digital asset management systems (MediaBin). The goal of the project will be to integrate both the structured and unstructured content into our web CMS (SmileMaker) for presentation on the web.
A major component in our strategy to unify content coming from disparate repositories is to use SharePoint 2010 as the system to manage unstructured digital content. We are wondering if any of our colleagues have done development work around SharePoint 2010? If so you, would you be willing to share the type of project you used SharePoint for and recommend any vendors you have successfully worked with?
