Hello MCN, Yes, I am still with you. :) A bit overwhelmed, but have been following along.
I will need to look at the originals this week at the client's office to determine if there are in fact any copyright notices printed on them at all. If not, as I now understand it, they are now in the public domain. We have so many to choose from, I am sure we can find a good 3-5 to use for our uses. Amalyah, yes, you are correct. The goal is to create new souvenirs using the vintage images. This has the dual purpose of creating interesting and authentic souvenirs, but also the theme of the interpretive project is California's myth marketing. These postcards were a part of that, and by purchasing and sending them now, visitors will continue the legacy of myth marketing.
