Hi Adrienne, I am the Digital Learning person at the National Museum of Australia but there's no formally-endorsed job description for this role, because so far I'm temporarily inhabiting a Senior Education Officer's position.
However, the Museum recognises the importance of this area and seems (fingers crossed!) likely to create a dedicated position. I look after the education area of the website, but also outreach / online community projects like this political cartooning competition<http://www.flickr.com/photos/national_museum_of_australia/collections/72157624945242306/>. We're also exploring the possibility of developing a mobile application for school visitors.
