IT Coordinator (Tier II, Help Desk)
The Hammer Museum seeks an IT Coordinator to implement and coordinate the 
day-to-day aspects of IT activities and initiatives in a midsize, non-profit, 
visual arts museum consisting of approximately 150 full time and part time 
employees. Incumbent will provide guidance and service that will enable 
end-users to perform a wide-range of critical tasks that support the Museum's 
mission and goals. Additionally, the IT Coordinator will work with the Museum 
staff in the provision of IT services and will professionally interact and 
strategize with outside consultants for additional support.

The IT Coordinator's main responsibility will be to develop and actively manage 
a customer-focused Help Desk, working closely with staff to resolve complex 
technical issues and addressing requests in a professional, thorough, and 
timely manner. Incumbent will proactively identify and continuously develop, 
adapt, and promote IT programs that will enable staff to accomplish their work.

The IT Coordinator will also provide timely and thorough research of systems 
specifications and design to management in support of the functional, 
cost-benefit analyses required to meet the Museum's evolving technological 
needs. The IT Coordinator will help plan and monitor the IT budget.

Additionally, the IT Coordinator will support the outside consultant in 
managing the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of all IT and 
Telecommunication-related hardware and software.

Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills to interact diplomatically and 
effectively deal with outside consultants and a diverse Museum staff; 
Professional demeanor and courteous/helpful manner; Highly organized, 
efficient, and attentive to detail, with excellent follow-up skills; Ability to 
prioritize and adjust heavy workload, manage a variety of tasks, and meet 
various deadlines with changing priorities, frequent interruptions, and 
conflicting deadlines; Self-starting, resourceful, proactive, and motivated in 
performing and excelling in responsibilities; 2-5 years related experience in 
desktop service and support in a fast-paced environment; Minimum one or more of 
the following Industry Certifications: CompTIA: A+ Certification, Network+ 
Certification, Microsoft: MCTS, MCITP, MCDST or higher; BA in related field. 
Museum or non-profit experience a plus; business management experience strongly 
preferred.
