We did this in our Projections gallery. Instead of a TV, we used a projector,
but the effect would be the same. Instead of setting up a television, we used
an iMac Mini and loaded the videos onto that. Set up some permissions to allow
folks to browse the video content but not much else. We would turn it on in the
morning and load the video list onto the screen, so that all of the options
would be obvious.

A small remote and list of instructions were available to the public. We also
set up a wireless keyboard and mouse for when we wanted to do internet-based
demonstrations in that gallery.

Subject: [MCN-L] Visitor Theatre / Remote Movie Selection

I would like to set up large screen tv that would play 3-4
documentaries. I have had this set up where they are in a constant
loop, but would like to remove that feature. What I want is for the
visitor to choose which one they want to see, then have it play through
and stop.

The one feature I am looking for, is the ability to do this remotely
from the seating area. Any ideas?
Thanks
David
