We do make sure that we have rights to put images online, as well as in print for the annual report. I think in our case most/all of the images come from the archive, itself. There are donor privacy issues, but for the most part, donors want to be acknowledged as much as we want others to see who is donating. It's something the development department has to keep in mind when preparing the report. And almost all public search engines (as well as our website's search engine) index pdf these days, so that is not an issue.
