Director, Knowledge Management An exciting opportunity exists at the Glenbow Museum to provide vision, leadership and direction in the area of museum content development as it relates to new technologies, digital media, intellectual property, and publishing. Reporting to the Vice President, Access, Collections and Exhibits, this role is responsible for copyright matters, the publishing programme, Glenbow's web presence, as well as the delivery of collections, exhibits and programmes content through exhibit technologies, and digitization. Glenbow Museum is a national leader in the delivery of digital museum content. The Director of Knowledge Management will position Glenbow both nationally and internationally as a developer of engaging digital experiences, and quality museum publishing. The successful incumbent will develop and lead projects that meet Glenbow's mandate and goals to ensure that our collections and programmes reach increasingly diverse and interactive audiences, both in person and online.
Qualifications: Masters degree in a related field plus five years in a museum environment. Four to five years experience in the area of digital content delivery, especially content delivery via the World Wide Web. This position requires significant skills in writing, public presentation, and project management. Successful grant writing skills is a strong asset.
