MCN'ers, For those of you interested in the use of standards, please attend the MCN 2007 Standards SIG meeting!
Standards SIG meeting Thursday November 8, 2007 12:00-1:30 pm Meet at the Conference Registration Desk @ 12:00 pm The Standards SIG is a forum for sharing interests in and having discussions about the use of standards in the cultural heritage field. Anyone is welcome to join and contribute to the SIG through listserve postings, attending annual meetings, suggesting ideas for sponsored conference proposals, looking at new developments in the field, etc. The Standards SIG annual meeting will consist of greeting current and new members, SIG business, a discussion of this year's developments and other topics of interest, and a brain storming session on proposals for next year's conference. Also, I am seeking nominations (either self or otherwise) for a new Standards SIG chair, so if you and/or someone you know (co-chairs are OK) are looking to get more involved in MCN, please contact me to throw your hat(s) in the ring to become the new Standards SIG Chair!
