Hi Andrew,

These panels are very new and so the lack of reviews is not
surprising. In fact this new multitouch series won't be available, in
Australia at least, until April this year.

For what it is worth I have successfully used 3M's single touch
capacitive ChassisTouch panels for over a decade in museum
environments and my expectation would be that the company would
engineer this new series to the same high standard.

If the thermal requirements are respected, it is properly installed
and fed clean power then it should offer a long service life.

I would suggest you spend some weeks evaluating a loan unit in order
to be more confident that it will meet your needs, particularly since
this is the first time that 3M are entering the multi (as opposed to
single or dual-touch) market.

Pay particular attention to the brightness and direction of lighting
on the gallery floor in the location where the display will ultimately
be installed and test that the viewing angles work for visitors of
various heights.

All the best with your project,
