17,000 images are have no known copyright restrictions so are downloadable for any use, free of charge. Another 14,000 images are available under a Creative Commons licence CC BY-NC-ND<http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/>. We hope that by making these images available for reuse, we are empowering people to use images of the collection in teaching and learning, research, innovation and new forms of creativity.
