To the MCN membership and other subscribers to MCN-L: In the last few months, MCN has been undergoing several major changes. Most of them relate to the fact that MCN has hired a new Association Management Firm, Adler Droz Inc., to manage the MCN finances, membership database, mailings, conference coordination and registration, phone/fax/mail, and several other services such as hosting the MCN website and email lists. This change has several implications, not the least of which is that MCN now has a new "headquarter office" in Laguna Beach CA which replaces our old address in Silver Springs Maryland. The next issue of Spectra, which will be mailed out soon, contains an announcement with more details on the overall change, and members can expect a letter with this announcement as well.
Part of the reason I'm writing to MCN-L specifically is that MCN-L is one service which is changing. MCN-L has a **new address**. From now on, please note that the new address for all MCN-L messages is: [email protected] and will replace our old address at: [email protected] The previous HELP MESSAGE to the list explains the details of how to issue commands to the list to subscribe and unsubscribe. For general contact with MCN via email, the new address is: [email protected]. There is a lot in the works; such as a greatly expanded and more useful MCN website, new listservs and webpages for the MCN SIGs, and more. MCN-L remains as a core communication mechanism, so watch this "space" for follow-up information, and please let us know what MCN can do to better serve.
