CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Museums and Technology:
The Name of the Game is Change
The Annual Museum Computer Network Conference
Las Vegas, Nevada USA
September 5-9, 2000

DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS FOR SESSIONS & WORKSHOPS: April 30, 2000

The staid and traditional "museum" is shedding its straight-jacket and morphing into an organization that reaches out to new audiences and communities using the latest tools. Technological advances point toward a new way of conducting business -- changing staff roles, new organizational structure, diverse audiences, increased access, innovative collaborations, new approaches. Change is the status quo. How do we mainstream this concept into the very core of a museum's mission and operations? How can we possibly keep pace with the blindingly quick rate of technological change? MCN-2K offers an opportunity to stop spinning and think, discuss, learn about, and reflect on change.

You are invited to submit your proposal for a conference session or pre-conference workshop, addressing the conference theme or any area of technology relating to museums or cultural heritage. Please check the categories that best describe the subject of this proposal:
