Dear Colleagues,

I am developing a "how to" guide on developing intellectual property policies in museums (in collaboration with The Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) and the National Initiative for a Networked Cultural Heritage (NINCH), who will be publishing the guide) and am interested in reviewing existing copyright and intellectual property policies from museums as background research for this project. If your institution has such a policy that you would be willing to share with me for research purposes (submissions will be kept confidential), I would be grateful if you would send them to me at the contact information listed below.

Please note that at this time I am only interested in policies (i.e., statements of principles that provide the basis for consistent decision-making and that usually require approval of an institution's upper administration or Board), not procedures and practices (i.e., statements of how you implement the policy, such as R&R procedures, fee schedules, etc.).

My sincerest thanks to all who are willing to share their policy information.

Regards,

Diane Zorich
