I am very pleased to invite you to participate in the American
Museums Digital Imaging Survey. Results from this survey will
contribute to a major report on the state of direct digital capture
of works of art within museums, archives and cultural heritage
institutions of the United States.
This research is being directed by Professors Roy S. Berns and
Franziska Frey. Your time and thoughtful responses are needed for a
successful outcome of this project. We urge you to join your
colleagues across the nation in filling out the survey.
Participants will be invited to a conference to be held in Rochester
in 2004. You can find an online version or a PDF of the survey at
