Christine,

In the past I've acquired Microsoft software from Tech Soup's DiscouTech program
www.techsoup.org. You have to be a 501c3 with a budget of less than $5m to
qualify. Includes desktop applications and server OS & client licenses.
Macromedia & other software also available.

Gifts in Kind www.giftsinkind.org offers Adobe products, but requres a yearly
subscription to receive discounts.

Museum folk may also be interested to know about WebJunction - funded by Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation in conjunction with grants they give to public
libraries. While most of it is aimed at that group they offer (for the
moment) free online courses on network & computer maintenance, web site
development, Linux, discussion boards about public access computers & other
issues. Also includes hardware/software buying guides. P.S. You don't have to
be a library to join!

Cheers,

Subject: Microsoft Software in your Museum

Are you using software donated by Microsoft in your museum? If you are, how
did you get it? Thanks and have a nice day. Chris
