I would like to invite you to attend the 8th Digital Asset Management Symposium, taking place on November 16 and 17 in Los Angeles.

Our latest agenda covers all the key practical challenges and strategic opportunities of DAM deployment, delivered by an unrivalled line up of early adopter users, independent analysts and subject matter experts. The program is structured into a cross industry plenary session, followed by four concurrent tracks, so you can pick and choose those sessions of greatest interest to you, enabling you to benchmark against directly comparable projects, or attend a series of sessions exploring one particular topic area.

Program highlights include Dennis Pannuto of BBDO on the business case for DAM; a panel session providing insight into the roles, day-to-day activities and experiences on one of the largest and longest established DAM projects - Warner Bros' MARS initiative; and Michael Moon of GISTICS' keynote address. These sessions feature on the day one plenary, details of which can be found at www.damusers.com/1plenary_la.asp.

While our agenda features content for Brand and Rich Media Management, plus a new break out session dedicated to providing practical "How to" advice on DAM project management, I thought you might be most interested in hearing about the program content relevant to text & image management and enterprise publishing.

Highlights of the "DAM for Text & Image Management" track on day two (www.damusers.com/textimage_la.asp) include: - An opening address from one of the leading independent analysts covering this sector, Mike Maziarka of InfoTrends/CAP Ventures - A panel session exploring "The Image Repository as Profit Center" featuring Capps Digital, TBWA/Chiat/Day and Corbis - Color management; ensuring color images are brand accurate, portable and repurposable from Jim Scott of Publicis - Perspectives on formats, standards and techniques for digital image management from Roger Howard of The J. Paul Getty Trust - A panel on taxonomy and metadata strategies moderated by Linda Burman and featuring Getty Images, Corbis and Hearst Magazines - Insights into the return on investment from automation from John Costa or Quebecor World PreMedia

We also have a suggested path on day two, on "DAM for Enterprise Publishing" which includes a panel on "How to launch DAM projects Successfully", featuring contributions from Simon & Schuster and DEMCO; "Effective Rights Management" including perspectives from Hearst and Cabelas; plus a panel on Digital Preservation featuring one of our top rated speakers at last year's DAM LA Symposium, Victoria McCargar of the LA Times.

There are also paths for "Professional Archivists, Librarians, Taxonomists and Metadata Managers" and "IT Architectures and Strategies for DAM-ECM Content Services Integration" - see the full agenda at www.damusers.com/home_la.asp for full program details.

Registrations for the 8th DAM Symposium are coming in fast and the hotel will soon be sold out, so please register now at www.damusers.com/register_la.asp.

I look forward to welcoming you to DAM LA on November 16 and 17.

Warmest Regards,
