By the way, Artesia is not a low end DAM. Canto and Portfolio both have
desktop programs that cost under $500, which I consider Low end.  Canto may
be starting to compete with Artesia in its client server version, but I
don't think so and I am pretty sure it hasn't caught up with its cost.
There is also ACDSee, ThumbsPlus and PhotoExplorer by Ulead, which are a
cross between image file browsers and a DAM.
