Dear MCN Colleagues –
Cinetech (Ascent Media Group), is coordinating a study of digitization practices for audiovisual materials. Our goal is threefold:
1) to ensure that the field is kept up to date on digital technologies,
2) to ensure that members of the archival/library/university and museum communities make the best use of their resources, and
3) to ensure that preservation/restoration service providers take into consideration the needs of the community.
The first stage is a field-wide survey. The survey is largely multiple choice, will take 10-15 minutes and has been designed with your convenience in mind. If necessary, you may leave the survey prior to completion and then pick up where you left off later. Those participants who include their email address will receive a summary of the results; and if the response is high enough, a summary will be submitted for publication.
