Mediatrope is currently redesigning the MCN Web site and we have worked with many members of the MCN community over the past decade. Thank you for passing the position announcement on to interested friends and colleagues. ************* Mediatrope LLC Position Announcement: Web Producer Mediatrope Interactive Studio (www.mediatrope.com) seeks Web Producers to manage the development of award-winning Web sites, online tools and interactives for museums, educational organizations and nonprofits. The Web Producer leads project specification development, translating the educational and business goals of our clients into innovative database-driven solutions for Web sites, educational interactives, audio/visual displays, e-commerce, customer relationship management and content management systems. The Web Producer also works closely with the creative teams, playing an active role in creative concept development. The Web Producer serves as the primary liaison between the client and the Mediatrope project team. S/he manages multiple projects through every phase of development, ensuring that projects are completed on time and on budget, and that client expectations are exceeded throughout the development process. Specific responsibilities include: Serve as the primary contact for all aspects of the project, providing consistent and effective communication with clients and Mediatrope project teams. Play a central creative role in the concept development of interactive solutions for the Web and other digital media. Create, track and manage project schedules, budgets and deliverables. Manage freelance and in-house teams of designers, production artists, developers and programmers. Develop project scope documents and production specifications. Create and maintain Web-based project sites and client filesets. Spearhead quality assurance testing and support, to ensure client satisfaction and meet internal quality standards. Requirements: Skills and Experience 3+ years experience producing Web and/or multimedia projects Understanding of Web design and development technologies Basic HTML and Photoshop skills Strong project management skills Excellent written communication skills Strong problem solving and negotiation skills Experience working with cultural, educational or nonprofit organizations Personal Qualities Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines Highly organized and detail-oriented Dedication to company goals, standards, and project excellence Enthusiasm and dependability Sense of humor Proactive, independent attitude that contributes to a team of players wearing many hats Interest in cultural and educational content Salary and benefits: Starting salary TBD, DOE.
