DIGITIZATION PROJECT MANAGER
Temporary full-time position, January-June 2006

The Asian Art Museum seeks a skilled individual to manage a grant-funded
project to provide public access to the museum’s magnificent collection via
the museum’s website.

The Digitization Project Manager will coordinate this project and act as a
key interface between the software vendor (Gallery Systems) and museum
staff members.

sub-set of collection records stored in ARGUS collection management
software (approximately 3,500 records in total), information and images of
the collection will be made accessible to the public. This project must be
completed by June 2006.

This incumbent, reporting to the Director of Museum Services, will work
independently, with key contacts being the museum’s Registrar and the
Director of Information Technology. The incumbent will also interact with
staff in the Curatorial, Photography, and Publications departments.
