The Museum Computer Network (MCN) is pleased to announce the
availability of a discussion list for its members. The list (MCN-L) will
serve as a means of communication among the membership, and between
members of MCN and the Board of Directors. It will be used to post
periodic news releases of interest to MCN members. Among these will be
updates of legislation effecting telecommunications, new initiatives in
the use of information technologies by museums, project updates, and more.

The MCN-L mailing list will also be used to support communications
within the MCN Special Interest Groups or SIGs.

In order to assist you in managing the MCN-L messages that you receive,
it is suggested that the following convention be used when posting a
message to the MCN-L list. Please start the "SUBJECT" line of your
message with a "KEYWORD". The following keywords are currently accepted:

     SIG-INTERNET

The MCN-L list is hosted at "[email protected]".

MCN-L is managed by the Program Office which is located at the MIT
