Thumbs up on SIM http://www.simnet.org/ - I've presented at the regional meetings, and it's definitely focused more on IT and it's also got the benefit of being cross-industry. In addition, likely to fit within a museum budget. I advise caution on something called "CIO Synergy" that organizes meetings around the country. I did not have a great experience attending, seemed more promotional than anything else, and I suspect they sold my contact info widely - started getting nailed with cold calls right afterward. Interop http://www.interop.com/lasvegas/ is the biggie, but I found it overwhelming and hard to connect to my day-to-day work. I've heard good things about TechMentor, but I've never attended https://techmentorevents.com/Home.aspx I've also heard good things about CIO Magazine events http://events.cio.com/ehome/index.php?eventid=95551&#.VXYRqEYjmUM but again I have not attended one. Perhaps others have experience with those last two. Hope that helps, Douglas
