The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art is part of the White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis and was founded by Indianapolis businessman and philanthropist Harrison Eiteljorg. Its mission is to inspire an appreciation and understanding of the art, history and cultures of the American West and the indigenous peoples of North America. The museum executes this charge in exciting and often surprising ways. The Eiteljorg collects and preserves high-quality Western art and Native American art and cultural objects. Its collection includes artists such as T.C. Cannon, N. C. Wyeth, Andy Warhol, Georgia O'Keeffe, Allan Houser, Frederic Remington, Charles Russell and Kay WalkingStick. The institution's contemporary Native art collection has been ranked among the world's best. The position of Director of Technology oversees and is responsible for all technology in the museum. All aspects of the museum have a technology component that is managed by this important member of our administrative team. The Director of Technology is also charged with managing the IT department, preparing and planning of upgrades to all systems, new inventive exhibits technology, user policies, technology budget planning, vendor contracts, project management, and disaster recovery. Our best candidate will be an experienced IT administrator with a strong sense of attention to detail, highly organized, analytical and with problem-solving skills. They will also understand systems and have experience with databases including but not limited to Raisers Edge, Financial Edge, Retail Pro, TMS, and TAM. We need someone who is self-motivated and has excellent oral and written communication skills as they will work with all departments, individual employees and outside vendors.
