Dear colleague, We’d like to invite you, your friends, and co-workers to propose your best work to be presented at MW19 in *Boston next year, April 2-6, 2019!*
Please find the *#MW19 Call for Proposals here: https://mw19.mwconf.org/call-for-proposals/ <https://mw19.mwconf.org/call-for-proposals/> *The deadline to submit proposals for written papers, professional forums, and how-to sessions is 11:59pm at the International Dateline on *September 30th* – i.e. the last possible minute that it is September 30th anywhere in the world! We are also happy to receive demonstration, and lightning talk proposals before the final deadline of Dec 31st. Workshop proposals must be received and approved before registration opens December 1, 2018. Does your presentation not fit any of those categories? Not a problem! We love new ideas; just submit your proposal as type “other.” For those who need an introduction, here’s a video about how to write an MW proposal: https://www.facebook.com/museweb/videos/10154718134192373/ And don’t hesitate to send us your ideas and draft proposals; Rich and I are happy to give you feedback, and also connect you with others working on similar ideas. Also, please keep in mind IMMERSION – the theme for MWX19, the exhibition of new art and experiences that will be part of the Boston meeting. We are looking for artists and installations that offer new ideas for how to make museum experiences immersive and participatory, from immersive theater to VR. Technology is not the only way to create innovation in museums. Whether your project is changing the way the cultural sector achieves its mission with pixels or post-it notes, we want to hear about it at MW19!
