A civic institution that is warm, welcoming, and generous to all. *About the Position* The Technology Systems Manager will play a key role within The Shed’s Information Technology team, which is charged with building a strong technical foundation to support fundraising and ticketing on a RAMP-hosted Tessitura platform, as well as other systems. The Technology Systems Manager will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to develop and manage The Shed’s Tessitura database to support the use and analysis of patron data, including writing SQL queries, custom reports, and custom screens. The position will work closely with the Director of Ticket Services and Director of Development Operations to manage Tessitura projects across the organization to optimize system usage. The Technology Systems Manager will manage the Tessitura ecosystem to ensure that all systems support our technology-driven approach to visitor engagement. The ideal candidate will be someone who connects deeply with The Shed’s mission to advance contemporary culture, has an entrepreneurial mindset, and can work collaboratively with colleagues across a new and quickly growing organization. *Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to* - System administrator for Tessitura, Artifax, Made Media’s BlocksOffice, and other software programs within the Tessitura ecosystem - Oversee all Tessitura integrations including Artifax, Shopify, Sage Intacct, iWave, Wordfly, and others as needed - Liaise with the RAMP team, including managing named users and tokens, scheduling live-to-test copies, and planning database backups - As dictated by departmental needs, write SQL queries, build custom reports, build custom screens, manage nightly jobs, write stored procedures, and complete any other technical work to customize Tessitura - Provide technical support during season set-up and configuration including campaign and appeal planning, advanced data extractions, and fiscal year switch-over - Support the organization in accessing data, including optimizing usage and integration within Tessitura Analytics - Work with users to develop processes, custom reports, and data analysis tools that maximize Tessitura’s capabilities - Drive the system upgrade process in collaboration with the RAMP team, including project managing user acceptance testing - Lead documentation efforts around Tessitura customizations in collaboration with departmental leads and the CTO - Oversee data governance strategy to maintain the integrity of the database by creating policies, tracking and coding structures, and enforcing data hygiene standards - Prepare and present Tessitura training sessions related to new technology development - Support the integration of Tessitura with hardware including ticket printers, cash drawers, payment terminals, scanners, etc. that optimizes functionality - Collaborate with finance and departmental leads to maintain PCI compliance - Responsible for the execution of business continuity strategy *Qualifications and Qualities* - Bachelor’s degree in related field - Three to five years of experience with CRM databases, specifically Tessitura - Strong knowledge of best practices for Tessitura setup and customization - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL - Experience creating custom reports using Sybase InfoMaker or SQL Server Reporting Services - Excellent judgment, collegiality, and ability to juggle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment - Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed *Compensation* Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
